This is kingtoad.net - the personal website blog of Joe Ramos. This website was originally developed in 2003 to serve as a web development playground to exercise my skills in website programming. Since then, the scope of this project has been ever changing and has gone under an incredible amount of variations over the last few years. After various revisions and continual analysis of the project scope I have decided to start over, completely from scratch, and take a simple approach. I decided to break my ideas down into separate websites and start with the first phase - this website, my personal blog. Design has already been completed for my next project and is currently in queue for development. I plan on having that website up by the end of this year. As of now, this website has a more focused scope and serves the purpose to document various of my web development activities and keep a documented time line of personal events, notes, and other things which may or may not pertain to web development.
I am a web developer. I began website design and development as a hobby in 1997 and have since then began developing websites professionally since 2003. I am skilled and knowledgeable in website development and have extensive experience in many programming languages. Many of the skills I utilize daily include PHP, MySQL, DOM, and W3C compliant (X)HTML and CSS. I have experience in working with CMS solutions such as Drupal and WordPress. Lately, I have taken a great interest in Drupal theme and module development and have been exploring Drupal as a primary solution to many different types of websites including extending its blogging platform, which is currently powering this website. An important addition to any web developer in the modern world is frameworks. I've researched and utilized frameworks to assist in the development and security of many of the websites I have deployed. Among these frameworks, I've worked with PHP based Zend Framework, and JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery. Lately, I have been putting off profitable projects in attempt to launch and deploy ideas of my own. Due to my busy schedule, I am currently not accepting any new jobs or projects at this time.
That being said, you won't find much use here unless you enjoy reading about my mindless internet dabblings, but if you do, please participate in the commentary.
